Docklands Diary…An Insight into his Travel Adventures

Over the next eight weeks, Docklands will keep you up to date on his travels from Newmarket to Melbourne, then to Hong Kong and back to Newmarket! Hopefully, he picks up a Group 1 or two along the way.

I entered quarantine on September 14 to prepare for my assault on the Cox Plate. Sea King, who recently joined my boss’s stable, joined me and will be my galloping partner for the next six weeks. They told me that we would fly to Australia at the end of the month.

While I am isolated here, the facilities are very good. My food is the same as at home and I am getting plenty of exercise. My riders still complain that I am very fresh. I feel good.

It’s very amusing when Harry and his staff visit. They are required to shower when they arrive and when they leave, and it’s very frustrating for them. It’s all to ensure I’m free from contamination when entering Australia. Apparently, the Australians are not keen on importing our English germs.

There’s some fast work planned for me towards the end of the week, but generally, most days are quite cruisy as I am already very fit.

I look forward to keeping you up to date with my adventure.
