Further Wave from Europe

Hot on the arrivals of Sea King, Portsmouth, Tournelle, Hampden, Zweig, Saganti, Paradise Storm and Deakin, four horses entered quarantine this week to head to Australia.

Lennox, one of OTI’s original Eurolink horses, has left Harry Eustace’s stable in Newmarket bound for the Neasham/Archibald team. In his seven races as a two and three-year-old, he won once and was placed a further three times. He shapes as a talented 2000m type and beyond for his owners.

Late maturer Highland Bling raced amongst some of the better three-year-old stayers in Ireland and England for Jessie Harrington. Rated 88, he won one of his eight races but was a close 2nd on two other occasions. With further maturity, he looks a tough Country Cups type.

Johnny Murtagh is renowned for developing young horses meticulously. Such is the case with Natural Ruler, who will join his younger sister at Sam & Anthony Freedman’s Pinecliff stables. The winner of two of his seven races and 2nd in another two, this athletic son of Ten
Sovereigns should excel over staying journeys.

The Arc Sale in Paris has been fertile ground for OTI for over a decade. This year, we were delighted to secure the three-year-old, Chartwell in conjunction with the Neasham/Archibald stable. This stunning-looking colt finished 2nd in the Group 3 Prix de Lutece in September. He has the credentials to be a top stayer in Australia.

The owners of all four have much to look forward to as each settle into their new Australian environment in December.
