OTI is delighted to have nominated three horses for the All-Star Mile to be run at Flemington on March 19, with I’m Thunderstruck and Spirit of Gaylard in particular targeted towards the $5,000,000 race.
In the lead up to the race, we will give you updates on each horse as they hopefully secure a spot in the field.
I’m Thunderstruck (click here to vote) is in great condition as he works towards a trial on January 31, prior to returning in the 1400m Group 1 C.F. Orr Stakes on February 12 at Caulfield ($750,000). Following that, he will then head to the 1400m Group 1 Futurity Stakes again at Caulfield on February 26 ($750,000) as his final lead-up run into the All-Star Mile.
Spirit of Gaylard (click here to vote), who won a 1000m trial impressively at Geelong on January 25 (replay below), showed he is right on track to run first-up at Caulfield in the 1400m Group 2 Autumn Stakes on February 12 ($300,000), prior to the 1600m Group 1 Australian Guineas at Flemington on March 5 ($1,000,000).
Chaillot (click here to vote), the talented three-time stakes winner, is also nominated for the race. Though it may come up too soon for her, a big return in a race like the 1400m Group 3 Frances Tressady Stakes at Flemington on March 5 ($160,000) may see her earn a spot in the field.
