A weekend ahead of lightly raced runners for OTI, with action set to kick off tonight at Canterbury Park.

Ashim
Having showed a good deal of promise in his first Australian preparation, we are excited to see what Ashim can achieve this time around. From the low draw, we’d like to see him get an economical run, relax well and be strong late.

Tekapo
Purchased with the help of Phill Cataldo after an impressive trial performance in New Zealand, this 3yo Vadamos gelding has settled into Warwick Farm perfectly. Though still on the immature side and likely to prefer longer journeys in future, Bjorn Baker expects to see Tekapo working home well.
Race 2 – 1:55 pm | 1300m Maiden | T: Bjorn Baker | J: Brandon Lerena 57.5kg | Barrier 5 | Saddlecloth 4
Sunshine Coast
Current Track Rating: Soft
Gambu
After being highly impressive on debut, Gambu’s connections have been eagerly awaiting a second-up run, which comes in Saturday metropolitan grade. Though its a steep rise in the class, the step to 1600m looks ideal for the son of Redwood, who is a half-brother to Te Akau Shark. The soft ground poses no concerns, so hopefully Gambu can be once again making his presence felt late.
Race 3 – 2:18 pm ADST | 1600m 3yo Handicap | T: Chris Waller | J: Ron Stewart 54kg | Barrier 2 | Saddlecloth 5
We wish all of our owners the very best of luck this weekend!
