The navy blue and gold hoops of OTI will be seen in Victoria, New South Wales & France this weekend.
Our weekend of runners begins down at Geelong this afternoon, where Tristano will tackle a 1900m BM64. This 4yo gelding will have to overcome the wide gate. He is fourth up and gets out to his preferred distance. So hopefully, he can have some luck and we’ll see him finish off strongly.
Tonight, the Andre Fabre trained King of Camelot will be seeking his first black-type win in a 2400m Listed affair at Vichy. His last 3 runs have been at Stakes level, where he has finished second, third and fifth. In a five horse field, he is the highest rated. Andre has reported that this son of Camelot is in great shape and believes he’ll be in the finish.
Grey Lion heads to Sydney for the first time tomorrow to contest a 2400m race at Randwick. He’ll be partnered by the in-form apprentice, Jean Van Overmeire. In a field of only 4, this fellow will get every chance to finally record his first win on Australian shores.
Following a disappointing run last start, Serenade the Stars will be looking to bounce back at Flemington tomorrow. This 4yo stayer is expected to relish the 2500m trip and be most competitive.
Tall Ship and Master Zephyr are set to continue their comebacks at Flemington in the 2000m Handicap. Tomorrow’s trip is short of their ideal race distance, but we do expect to see them run through the line.
