4yo mare She’s Unusual will make her Australian debut this Friday at Goulburn for trainer John O’Shea and connections.
The mare had two winning trials and one race start in New Zealand, winning that also in impressive fashion by 1.5 lengths on September 28.
Arriving at O’Shea’s Randwick stables in mid-October, the mare had a couple quiet weeks before stepping up her training and working towards a jumpout. Now ready for her first start in Australia, we will see her step out at Goulburn in the Class 1 over 1400m.
“She worked on the grass here at Randwick this morning, she sat off the leader, picked him up in a couple strides and was really strong through and after the line. Very happy with her and we will most likely head to Goulburn on Friday. I think she could be quite competitive.”, said trainer John O’Shea to owners.

We look forward to seeing this mare step out for the first time and hopefully she can follow into the footsteps of our many other successful NZ imports.
Best of luck to the connections of She’s Unusual!
